Kat Matthews is a rising endurance star British based triathlete currently serving in the British Army, supported to pursue performance as a professional long-distance triathlete, she prior served as a physiotherapist officer and has been a professional long course triathlete for only several seasons.
Kat shares the origins of how she got started in the sport and how her early success is most recently catalysed into two incredible performances all in the space of 30 days, a silver medal at the World Ironman Triathlon Championships recently held in St. George, and 30 days later taking out the inaugural Sub 8 Sub 7 challenge completing the race in 7:31:54 seconds with an incredible off-the- bike run split of 2:46:09 for the marathon.
